Dr. Christine Venema, originally from south-central Michigan, is a board-certified specialist in internal medicine. She treats patients with gastrointestinal, kidney, urinary tract, respiratory, liver, autoimmune, and endocrine diseases. Dr. Venema also has a special interest in lung and airway diseases, such as asthma, as well as diseases of the nose.

Dr. Venema graduated from veterinary medical school at Michigan State University. After graduation, she completed a one-year internship at Purdue University, before returning to Michigan State for residency training in small animal internal medicine.

When she’s not treating animals, Dr. Venema enjoys taking road trips, cooking, reading, musical theatre, and spending time with her collie, Dolly.
