Hospital Administrator Location: Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals (MECA) – Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals (www.ERforAnimals.com) state-of-the-art facility opened its doors in June 2009. A team of experienced veterinarians and staff provide twenty-four hour emergency service, concentrating on dogs, cats, exotics, reptiles and other small mammals. Critical care and surgery referrals are accepted from referring veterinarians 24 hours a day. Our team is in search of a Hospital Administrator. At MECA our Hospital Administrator:

• will continually monitor all areas of responsibility, i.e., financial, building, equipment, employee administration, customer service, client relations, etc. for continuous improvement,
• functions as the liaison with clients and rDVM, and at the same time uses tools to educate, motive, evaluate team members to ensure the highest standard of customer service and quality care, and
• always is an example of what it means to be a professional, ethical, and optimistic leader.

• Bachelor’s degree in business field with a minimum of 5 years related experience.

• Work experience with the principles and practices of administration; human resources; financial/accounting, information technology, facilities and equipment maintenance contracts, inventory, marketing, and knowledge of the customer service.
• Organizational skills.
•  Professional interpersonal skills.

• Proficient personal computer skills: Windows, Microsoft Office skills, and internet.
• Professional and effective etiquette skills.

• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the fast pace of emergency veterinary medicine/business.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with owner, employees, rDVM, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
