Packer, the three legged, 3-year-old terrier mix, came from the humane society. She is owned and loved by Dr Marla Lichtenberger. She was found on the streets of Milwaukee after having been hit by a car. Sadly, Packer had to have her right front leg amputated, but is doing well enough to assume all of her responsibilities as the official mascot for Milwaukee Emergency Care for Animals. She will be on the premises when Dr Lichtenberger is working and will gladly come out to meet you on request. Her story is described in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel blog.
